Baramulla, Jul 18 (KNO): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will lead "Mulaqat", an interfaith dialogue initiative here in North Kashmir on Sunday.
According to the details available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) the event is aimed at promoting peace, harmony and mutual understanding among different sections of society.
LG Sinha will attend the event at Dak Bunglow as the chief guest, with organisers stating that all necessary arrangements, including security preparations, have been finalised for the programme.
Chairman of the organising body, Wajahat Farooq, said the first edition of "Mulaqat" will be held in Baramulla under the chairmanship of the Lieutenant Governor, following which the initiative will be extended to other districts of the Kashmir Valley.
"The programme will bring together religious leaders, civil society representatives, government officials, youth and the general public for meaningful dialogue aimed at strengthening peace, harmony and understanding," Farooq said.
